Getting to Camp:
Please arrive on time. See our
Maps & Directions
page.
Arrival and Departure:
We are intentional about doing all we can to create an inviting atmosphere when you arrive. We will have plenty of staff to greet you, to get you signed in, and to assist campers in getting their belongings to the right location. Please help us by having all papers, unpaid balances, and any medications ready when you go through registration. Registration for most summer camps is from 3-5 pm in Harvest Hall. Checkout is at 1 pm on the last day.
Please do not arrive early as we will be saying goodbye to guests who are leaving that day. Please
do not arrive late as your camper will miss out on important connecting times.
Cancellations: We understand that on occasion, a camper may need to cancel. Please let us know as soon as possible. Some camps have a waiting list. A portion of the camp fee is non-refundable and the amount depends on the date of cancellation. We do not provide refunds for campers who leave due to homesickness or illness.

Calling Home:
Campers are allowed to use phones only when they have a significant need or problem. Our camp staff will contact parents immediately if a camper has a problem. We do not encourage homesick campers to call home without our staff first calling the parents to determine the best course of action. Parents who need to contact their child should call the camp office and set a time when your child can be near the phone.
Camper Mail:
Family and friends are invited to write to campers. All
contact information, including fax numbers and e-mail
addresses, are on the Contact Us page of this website.
Camper mail is a FUN part of the camp day and we
encourage you to make sure your camper gets to have some
mail-call fun!
Cell Phone and Electronics
Policy: Cell phones are not permitted. TLCC has a land line telephone located in the main office that is accessible 24 hours a day during any event, as well as most staff carrying cell phones, should the need for one arise. Many tell us, while it might be hard at first, that the absence of the phone was a highlight of their week. It’s good to remove that distraction. Other portable electronics such as iPods, hand held games, MP3 players, are not allowed. If brought to camp, they will be kept in the camp office until the end of camp.
Safety and Security: There is good reason to feel secure; we place a very high priority on safety. Our staff is trained in emergency procedures for severe weather, unknown person on camp property, lost camper, lost swimmer, fire, and basic first aid. And last but certainly the most important, we have an army of prayer warriors, and we pray for God's protection over our camp and each camper.

Spending Money:
Campers may bring extra money for the following: crafts, chapel offering for the annual summer project, Fieldstone Coffee Shop, Camp Store, Canteen, paintball, soda/water machines, camp t-shirt. Campers through grade 6 will turn in their spending money and will use a card system. Money is kept safe this way. Unspent money is refunded at checkout. Unclaimed money goes into the camp scholarship fund. Not sure how much to send: It’s up to you! Some kids are fine with $5 and others will spend over $50! The average amount of spending money is about $25 - $30.
Canteen:
The Canteen is open daily to campers. The usual camp goodies can be found: candy, frozen treats, snack crackers and chips, cookies, etc. We are also happy to let you know we offer healthier options too! Such as: cheese, fruit, whole grain crackers, granola bars, bottled water, popcorn, and more.
Bringing food/candy from home is strongly discouraged. We serve good food and plenty of it. The canteen is stocked full with healthy options as well as sweet or salty snacks, ice cream, and more. Keeping food out of the living/sleeping spaces makes for a cleaner, tidier, better looking camp! And we all love that!
Camp Store:
Come and see our NEW logo wear items with our famous tag line, "A fun place to get serious." T-shirts, hats, hoodies, flannel pants, bags, stuffed animals, beach towels, blankets, water bottles, and MORE!
Fieldstone Coffee: Once again, Fieldstone Coffee will be open during select hours during camp. You can order different coffees, teas, smoothies, as well as pizza, popcorn, and yummy pastries. Come on in! Play a game. Sit by the fire. Connect with friends. It’s the place to be!
Laundry: We are not able to provide laundry facilities to our guests. However, in the event of an emergency due to illness, a big paint spill, or something along those lines, our summer staff will make sure needs are met and clothing is cared for. Again, camp is a great place to be comfy and wear those clothes that CAN get dirty.
Lost and Found: As you might imagine, our lost and found pile is pretty mountainous by the end of summer. Lost and found items will be returned to you via mail. We do ask that you reimburse the cost of postage. A return address envelope with the amount due will be enclosed with your returned item. Items are kept for 30 days before they are donated to local charities.
Medical Information:
Our medical staff are adult volunteers employed in the
medical field. These are professionals who give a week
of their time to camp. Medical staff are on duty at all
times and available by radio for fast response.
Additional camp staff is also trained in emergency
medical response. Daily medication is dispensed
according to printed instructions. All medication must
be turned in to the camp nurse upon arrival. Medication
is typically dispensed at meal times and before bed.
Camp is not a fun place to be when you are sick. If a
camper becomes ill, they will be monitored closely. If they are too uncomfortable to stay or have not improved within 24 hours, arrangements will be made for your
child to return home.
Weather: Regarding severe weather, our staff has been trained in emergency procedures and we instruct every camper during the opening session on how to react in case of an emergency. Our primary storm shelter is the Craft Hall, a concrete room under Harvest Hall. We also have a tornado siren on our property that is operated by the Calhoun County Law Enforcement Center with direction from the National Weather Service. It is loud and works very well! We also make very effective use of weather radios to alert us if needed.
Do NOT Bring to Camp:
▪ Items of great value or that
cannot be replaced – things get lost at camp. The
less you have to keep track of, the more you will
relax and enjoy camp!
▪ Portable electronic devices
▪ Carbonated beverages: We have
cooled vending machines with soda, water, flavored
water and tea. (energy drinks are made available
only during Sr.
High/Impact week)
▪ Non-prescribed drugs, illegal drugs
PROHIBITED at Camp:
alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, fireworks, weapons, inappropriate reading material
